Singing is good for you – it’s official!- Graham Welch, Director for Advanced Music Education, states “Singing exercises the vocal cords and keeps them youthful, even in old age. When you break into song your chest expands and your back and shoulders straighten, thus improving your posture. Singing lifts moods and clears the “blues” by taking your mind off the stresses of the day, as well as releasing pain relieving endorphins. As you sing your circulation is improved, which in turn oxygenates the cells and boosts the body’s immune system to ward off minor infections.”

So why not come along and join us at Coastline Harmony. We are a ladies a-cappella non-profit making chorus singing four part harmony which was founded in 1977. Our young enthusiastic Chorus Director, Becky Middleton, is one of the youngest in the country. If you can commit to weekly rehearsals then in return we can offer fun and friendships and the chance to sing wonderful harmony. We rehearse every Thursday at Portslade Community College from 7.15 pm – 9.45 pm. You do not need to read music.

Coastline also loves to entertain and sing a wide range of music for every occasion. Our repertoire includes a variety of songs, old and new -as well as songs from musicals past and present.  We perform and sing at venues in East and West Sussex entertaining local societies, clubs, rest homes, charities and at special events.  If you would like to book us for your special event, then please call Pat on 01273 843671 for more information.

If you would like to join us please call Theresa on 01444 236147 or Jackie on 01273 454594. If you would like to hear us you are welcome to come along to any one of our weekly rehearsals. Our website is www.coastlineharmony.co.uk.
