Coastline Harmony is part of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide singing organisation with 60,000 members all over the globe. It has a programme designed for young singers called Young Women in Harmony. It makes barbershop fun with specially arranged songs for younger voices which are still developing.

Here in the U.K. Region 31 of Sweet Adelines has its own Young Women in Harmony chorus called the “Showstoppers”. Any member of region 31 under the age of 26 qualifies as a member of this chorus. Each year before our annual convention music is sent out to all Young Women in all choruses through the UK. They learn their music at home and normally after just one rehearsal during the weekend they all come together on the Saturday night and perform in the "Showstoppers" chorus.

Our newest and youngest member Lucy (being presented with her welcome pack in the pictures below) at the age of 10 will be able to take part in the "Showstoppers" chorus next year.
